Mission and Passions
The Bridge Community exists to exalt and glorify Jesus by applying the gospel to every area of our lives, and to lead others toward becoming fully delighted followers of Jesus Christ.
As a church family, we are driven by a deep passion for the worship, Word, and work of God. Everything we do as a church will demonstrate these passions:
1. Passion for Him: Passionate worship is the outpouring of a heart that has been captivated by the gospel of grace, and we worship God most genuinely when our lives match the songs of our heart. When we worship the living God, we both proclaim our God’s great worth, and respond to Him by offering our lives. As we worship, we allow Him to change our hearts to live in line with the truth of the gospel. (John 4:23)
2. Passion for His Word: The Word of God reveals God’s heart for us. The Bible points us to Jesus, and the good news (gospel) is that God has invited us to know Him, enjoy Him forever. The gospel is not only the way we enter into a relationship with God, but also the way we are shaped into the kind of people God wants us to be. It is only when we have fully believed and delighted in the truth that we are saved by grace that we will be fully developed (sanctified) followers of Jesus. We understand knowing, believing, and living out the gospel is a life-long journey. We will strive to delight in the glory of God in the teaching and preaching ministries of this church, making known the riches of His revelation to us. (Titus 2:11-12)
3. Passion for His Work: Jesus came to seek and save the lost, and we are to carry on His mission in the world by the grace and empowerment of His Spirit. The Bridge Community places a high priority on participating in Chirst’s mission both locally and globally though evangelism and service. (Acts 1:8)
