As a praise, I think it worth noting that this week we had one gentleman ask to receive Christ, and one gal lets us know she wants to be baptized.  We are overjoyed, and hope to see more and more of that!

We’ve challenged our congregation to pray for 5 people that they want to pursue God this Easter season, and we’d love to see some of those people take their next step in following Jesus.  Please pray that our mailer, and ads would find people who are open to exploring spiritual things.  Pray they would come, and hear the gospel and respond!

The main thing is, we just need people to pray that the Lord would use our efforts to reach the people he cares about so deeply.

I wanted to update you on little baby Oakley.  There were lots of complications at birth, but God has been so good and mother and baby daughter are doing great.  Keep the family in your prayers, and Praise God for his healing.

There is another member in our congretation who’s father just today went to the hospital with a medical emergency.  Pray for him, and the family.

Also, pray for one young man in our congregation who began coming to our church a few months ago, and has decided to leave his former religion behind after serving it all his life (including a two year mission).  He is now in the process of learning about Christianity, and has lots of questions.  Lets pray he finds a genuine relationship with Christ soon and does not walk away from God!

Lastly, pray for our family.  There seem to be many things weighing on us right now, just pray for the Lord’s continued encouragement and strength.

I have three prayer requests I’d like to share with our TBC prayer warriors.  First, a praise; Marshall Pulliam moved here and his job transfer fell threw immediatly and he had no job.  We asked people to pray for him in our newsletter, and within a few days, God provided a full time job with benefits.  Praise God.

Secondly, I am flying to Southern California tomorrow and I will defend my thesis before a board.  If I pass, My Doctoral work will be basically complete and I’ll walk in May with my Doctorate.  It would be so nice to be done with the work involved with this, so please pray that my thesis defense goes well.

Also pray for those guests that will come over the Christmas Season.  Pray we connect with them in a meaningful way and the truth of God’s saving grace is felt.

Please pray for several visitors who come from an LDS background, who are not comfortable in chruch, but are looking for something. Pray that they come to the Lord here, and find the Joy that comes from Him.

Pray also for our neighborhood outreach on the 12th.  Pray that as we invite our community, we get a positive response.

Pray also for our volunteers; that they stay encouraged, and see the fruit of thier labors.

This week we start a new sermon series on the 10 Commandments; looking specifically how these commandments impact our life today, and how Jesus life, and teaching has to say about them.  You might be surprised at just how relevant these commandments are.  In this weeks message we examine the first commandment.  We focus on more than just how we keep/break the commandment, looking at how God acts to save his people who break this command.
